Pregnancy, birth, postpartum and motherhood are sacred and transformational journeys that deserve deep reverence.
As a postpartum doula and sacred birth worker I offer emotional, spiritual and physical support to mothers and their families as they prepare for and recover from birth mind, body and soul.
I have a special passion for the postpartum period. I believe that when a mother is deeply honoured, cared for, loved, nourished and supported throughout this time it has the ability to change her and her families lives for generations to come.
In Ayurveda, and many other ancient cultures around the world, it is said that the way a mother is cared for during the first 42 days after birth mind, body and soul sets the foundation for her next 42 years as a mother. It is not only believed that this will influence her lifelong motherhood journey, but also the overall health and well being of her newborn baby.
It is my hope and intention that by walking beside you you will feel held, supported, cared for, loved, anchored in your inner knowing and honoured through your rite of passage of birth.
Current Sacred Offerings
Postpartum Care (In Home)
Supporting you after the birth of your baby for a nurturing, nourishing & healing postpartum.
Support includes homemade nutritious meals, holding sacred space for you and your family, birth debriefing, light household tasks (such as washing, dishes, meal preparation, changing the sheets etc), caring for your newborn while you shower/nap & an ‘honouring the mother’ foot bath ritual.
Birth Preparation (In Home or Online)
Supporting you to prepare mind, body & soul to journey through the birth portal (for women in both preconception & pregnancy)
Support includes holding sacred space for you to share your transformational journey, moving through fears, education & preparation for birth & postpartum, guidance with navigating the system, providing evidence based resources and helping you to connect deeper to your inner wisdom, power and intuition.
Mother Blessing Ceremony (In Person)
An intimate ceremony with your closest women to surround you in unconditional love, honour your motherhood journey and to remind you of your innate power as you prepare for your upcoming birth.
Each mother blessing ceremony is completely unique and in our planning session we will be able to discuss the things that feel most important and supportive to you at this time of your life.
About Nicki
I am a passionate postpartum doula, sacred birth worker, birth nerd and sacred space holder based in the hinterland near Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia.
I am originally from South Australia, the land where the dry Australian bush meets the sea. I love visiting this area often to reconnect with my roots, my family and friends and the beautiful blue ocean who has held me through many different chapters of my life.
I am an aunty, a sister, a daughter, and a friend with an adventurous and rebellious heart. I have a deep love and connection to nature, especially anything with water! The ocean, waterfalls and creeks help me to keep balanced, grounded and provide me with so much clarity and joy. You will often find me bathing in the healing waterholes around the Northern Rivers whenever I get the chance (usually with a beautiful sister and a picnic of snacks in tow).
I am an introvert, gentle, sensitive, loyal, protective and my friends and family mean the absolute world to me.
I have felt intuitively drawn to the birth portal since my young teenage years. I always knew within my cells that motherhood was a sacred initiation that deserved honouring and reverence. These intuitive feelings have only grown stronger and I am in complete awe of mothers and love being a support and witness to one of the most transformational journeys of their lives.
